Where to find knife gloves combo card

In this installment of the zombie-smashing hit, you play as Chuck. Greene, a former motocross star, five years after the first Dead Rising. Caught in Fortune City when another outbreak occurs, Chuck must find out the truth behind the outbreak, and keep his daughter alive.

Throughout the game world Chuck will find various items that can be combined at workbenches found in maintenance rooms. Some of these combo cards can be very tricky to find. This is necessary for anyone trying to unlock all of the achievements in Dead Rising 2. This is the only Dead Rising 2 combo card that is given at the start of the game, simply for completing the intro.

Most of the combo cards in the game are given randomly when you level up. There is no set level when you will get any of these cards, so leveling up as much as possible is the easiest way to obtain these.

There are two OJ's on the ground to the right after the cutscene so grab them if you need them. Kill the three mercenaries using the knife gloves as they will shred these guys easily. The guns they drop are pretty good so grab one or two of them if you have the room.

Once the three are down you will get another cutscene. You will now need to jump on the train so punch it and stay on the left side. You won't be able to jump from the first ramp on the left side but the second one is very doable.

Once you land on the train, another cutscene will happen. Rush forward and knife glove the mercenaries. Health food can be found along the train carts if you need it.

When you get to the end of the train, examine the door to trigger a cutscene. Before leaving the tunnels for good, let's go get some free Zombrex. After saving your game in the restroom down here, use the nearby orange vehicle then drive south east, following the tunnel as it curves northeast. Drive up onto the first ramp on the left it's a ways down the tunnel and grab the Zombrex. Turn around and drive back to where you were and exit the tunnel via the South Plaza exit. From here, you have until am to get back to the safehouse to give Katey her Zombrex.

It should be after 3 am so you already got a call for An Industrial Fashion. Go and collect the two survivors who are here in the plaza. Climb up and convince Willa, who you will have to carry if against my wishes you dropped the Leadership magazine, to join you. Terri will then join as well. Hoof it back to the safe house, drop them off, and get ready to give Katey her Zombrex. If you have any spare time, work on finishing giving Katey gifts or whack zombies with any remaining novelty items but try to give Katey her Zombrex at am sharp because we want to knock out some more survivors ASAP afterwards.

So prep with food and weapons prior to am. You can dump the Leadership magazine now. It won't be needed for awhile and when we finally do need it again, I'll point out when to get it. Give Katey her Zombrex. Now let's do a rush run to get 8 survivors quick like. Don't dilly dally and we'll be just fine with plenty time to spare to get to the next case file.

If you have Quicksteps , use them to get to the survivors. As you leave the safehouse and move past the first maintenance room you will get a cutscene. This introduces us to Queens. Queens - From here on out, certain zombies will carry Queen bees on them.

You can tell which ones have queens because they will stand in place and raise their hands in the air as if in pain. Kill the zombie and the Queen will be left behind. It will hover in place. You can collect the Queen by pressing when near it. You can then toss it at the ground by equipping it and tossing it like any other weapon.

You can aim the throw using button. Shattering the bottle will instantly kill all zombies within a certain range of it. Their deaths are actually quite dramatic. Queen carriers will not be affected by a Queen bottle shatter.

If a zombie survives a queen attack, kill it and collect another Queen! While they are really useful, they aren't easy to come by. If you find one, make sure you keep it for later. There is a side mission called Par For the Course which having a Queen will be helpful.

I'll let you know more about it later. Otherwise, just keep your eyes open for one and collect them. Use them to protect survivors who get surrounded. There is also an achievement related to having a queen. You need to combine a Nectar and a Queen in a Maintenance Room. To make a nectar, combine two OJs or an OJ and a beer.

Tape it or DIE! Discovered the secret combo card. Did you cheat by checking online? Hoof it to the Food Court and grab Cinda and Jasper that you left back there earlier.

This will net you the combo card for the Blambow. It's actually a pretty good weapon but gathering the dynamite is kind of a pain at times. I'll leave it up to you if you want to use it. Jump down onto them from the second floor. Run to the Silver Strip to collect the Rock Heroes for 5 total survivors.

Climb on the stage to start dialogue with them. Eventually, the band finishes with a literally mind blowing chord. Equip them with any weapons you might have on you and either leave them on the stage for now where they are safe or take them to Hot Excitorama and have them wait there.

We have some solo stuff to do quick. By the time you get here, it should be after am and you will be able to do an unannounced scoop, Shopping Spree. Run upstairs to Kathy's Space to find the three ladies. You will have to carrying their shopping bags but whatever.

You've done worse. After agreeing to come with you, you should get Come On! Come on! Follow me! Escort 8 survivors at once. Before you take them all back, eat the jellybeans found inside for progress towards Finally Full. Escort all of them back to the safehouse for some major PP.

If you have some time, make a fresh set of knife gloves and grab OJ as prep work for things to come. Go to the security room for a cutscene at am for Case On to Case ! It doesn't really matter which location you do first but for sake of continuity, let's start with the Americana Casino. You should already have prep work done, which means a couple OJs and a new pair of Knife Gloves. After each casino, using a Quickstep to get to the next will help speed things up. Save before leaving.

Upon entering, the vault will be to the left, on the east side. Two mercenaries will be on lookout with a third one at the door to the vault room. Equip the knife gloves and charge them all. Heal up and enter the vault room, charging the two in there as well.

With the knife gloves, you should be able to kill them in two hits, if not one depending on how much you have leveled. You can destroy the drill by hitting it with any melee weapon. One down, 3 more to go! Next up, Slot Ranch Casino. Make a Quickstep or two and use one right away to boogie like its You can also substitute an OJ for a Pain Killer if you'd like as you will take damage from these goons.

The vault in this casino is on the north side. Two mercenaries are outside, two more in the door and two more manning the drill. Knife Gloves will make short work of them all. Destroy the drill here. You can shoot it as well as melee it. Though don't ever use your knife gloves for such a menial task. While here, let's grab a free Zombrex and knock it off our list as well as one more novelty item. Go to the stage to the far left of the casino. Afterwards, go behind the stage to find a maintenance room.

To the right of the maintenance room is a stack of crates. Climb on those and hop over to more crates on the east wall. The Zombrex is on those crates. You should now have 3 extra Zombrex. The Laser Sword is pretty cool and does some serious damage as well but has an even worse durability than the gloves.

You have the combo card for it, so it's up to you if you want to use that instead of the Knife Gloves. While PP is very nice to earn, it shouldn't be your main goal right now. Throughout this first playthrough, I won't be calling out many combo weapons, mostly because they are all rather useless; however, a few are kind of neat and worth playing with. I'll arbitrarily call them out for you. In a later playthrough, we will knock them all out and grab the achievement for having them all but for now, let's stick to only the worthwhile ones.

I suggest making one lightsa I mean laser sword for the next Psychopath battle. The vault in this casino is on the east side, just north of the Shoal Nightclub. There are two mercenaries outside the vault doors, two more just inside the vault room and three of them manning the drill.

Go to town on them all and then destroy the drill. After this, you will get a call from Stacey. Looks like we got one more drill to stop. Stock up on guns to make this next part easier.

Before leaving the casino, save your game in the restroom. Outside the men's restroom, examine the poster of a man wearing a bear suit and carrying a machine gun. Got another combo card; Freedom Bear. Make some more Quicksteps and a Painkiller for the next battle if you want and take the south exit out of the casino and enter the Silver Strip.

Head towards the Atlantica Casino. There are some mercenaries around Fortune Park, near the stairs leading down so take them out. It won't be as easy as there are obviously a lot of zombies out here. There's a total of seven mercenaries around the steps guarding an armored van parked against the side of the casino. Once they are dead, whether by bullets of knife gloves, you need to destroy the van.

You could melee it but will have to deal with the random zombies coming close so another option is to find a safe spot in the garden section and shoot it until it blows up. You'll need a good stock of guns to do it but you got plenty laying around from your fight. Make sure you keep at least one in your inventory for later.

After the van blows up, you'll get a cutscene and end Case With the Case done, we have time now to save some more survivors. It's probably after pm by now so you should have gotten a few new scoops. Let's go to Palisades Mall and do two of them. Before starting Everyone Knows Slappy , let's prepare a bit. In the Grotto the water park area in the center where we got the Playboy magazine earlier there is a blender and some vodka. Mix two vodkas together to get a Pain Killer.

Use this as your first heal. On the second level, go to Chris' Fine Foods. You will find not only food here to eat and heal up, but grab the OJ for later and a Cooking Oil. Make sure you eat a Melon that is piled in a display in the back for progress towards Finally Full. Ok, that should be good enough. Now, equip the cooking oil and head to the quest marker and watch the cutscene. After that is done, run into Kids Choice Clothing and watch Slappy skate back and forth.

Throw the oil down on the floor in his path. Every time he falls down, rush in and swing times and then back off. Let him skate around and slip again, then rush in and do more hits. Use up your Knife Gloves first and then finish him off with the Laser Sword if you have it. Remember to use the pain killers first and OJ after. After fighting Slappy, head to Leigh's Fine Liquor and grab two more vodkas for the blender later. While up on the second floor, run over to the maintenance room door and between that and Ned's Knicknackery is a movie poster for Dr.

Examine it for a combo card, the Snowball Cannon. Head back down to the grotto and make another Pain Killer with those vodkas since we will be fighting another psychopath soon and this guy won't pull punches. Before you leave this area, drink a Drink Cocktail that can be found on one of the patio tables and tick off some progress towards Finally Full. Now head to the Venus Touch and grab the coffee on the counter inside and give it to Linette in the backroom to complete Wilted Flower.

You'll have to carry her up to the second floor and into Brand New U but it's totally worth it because she shows you a shortcut back to Royal Flush Plaza. We're going to be using this shortcut quite often from now on. Before you examine the changing room stall, set Linette down and eat the hot dog behind the checkout counter in Brand New U for progress towards Finally Full.

Now pick her back up, examine the changing room and proceed to drop Linette off at the safehouse. After dropping off Linette, let's restock our weapons and OJ in the plaza, save in the restroom , and as long as it's pm or later the call for Here Comes the Groom then head out to the Silver Strip. Enter the Swept Away Chapel for a cutscene. Afterwards, get ready for the hardest boss battle to date.

Randy can do some serious damage so hopefully you took my advice and have a Pain Killer on you. Randy is a fast obese man so the best bet here is to vault over the benches as he charges you.

After his charge, he will stop to catch his breath. This is your time to rush in and do swings then back off. You can't go toe to toe with him. This battle is short, swift attacks and then dodging. You should still have a Mercenary gun on you so another great strategy is after Randy hits you and does his pelvic thrust taunt, shoot him in his pig belt.

This will make him keel over for a long time and you can kill him quickly with knife gloves. Of course, this is easier said than done but that's why we saved back in Royal Flush Plaza, right? Killing Randy will let you take his chainsaw.

It's a unique weapon and will respawn every time you zone back into the Chapel, provided you aren't already carrying it. Before leaving the chapel, eat the spoiled hamburger next to Randy's bed. If it's not there, just zone out and back in. This furthers the progress for Finally Full. If you don't have a Queen, then grab the snack here as well for mixing later and exit to Fortune Park.

There is an unannounced mission here in Fortune Park so let's go help Janus next. We will need a firearm to give him so as long as you still have one from the mercenaries, you can give him that.

Otherwise, look for a zombie cop out in the strip and take their handgun. Another option, though kind of silly, is give him a water gun, which can be found right here in the Park. You can find one behind the railing with water just across from Janus. Make note of this scoop because in the second playthrough, we are going to kill Janus instead of saving him. We will use it shortly. As long as it's after pm, head to Royal Flush Plaza for the next survivor.

I mentioned awhile back about saving a Queen if you find one. If you have one handy, use it here to kill all the zombies around Luz. If you don't have one, use the Zombait to attract the zombies to you. This should help in not hitting Luz as much. You'll still need to finesse it a bit and try not to hit Luz while killing the zombies.

You have until pm to meet back up with Rebecca so as long as you have a few hours yet, let's head to the safehouse and drop off these survivors. At pm, we will be able to do the next one, which starts in the safehouse so wait outside the airvent until pm before going in. Remember that scoops won't spawn if you are in the same area as they are. Right after pm, enter the airvent and find Stuart, the casino worker you had to beat up a bit back in Worker's Compensation.

The jerk is threatening to start a mutiny! Talk him out of it. Now, like I said Case is at pm. So we have a little time to stock up and prep. Once we get the call, we can mix the drinks inside the Yucatan. You can find beer and a blender at Baron Von Brathaus' or the bar inside the casino proper. Make two of them, just in case. Enter the Casino, mix the drinks, save in the restroom, and then head upstairs to the Shoal Nightclub. After the cutscene, you will be in a fight with the two twins. Focus on one of them.

All you need to do is drop one and the battle will end. Pick your poison, blonde or brunette, and go to town on her with the Knife Gloves. They will usually run away after hitting you a few times so that's when you heal using the Pain Kill er first.

It's pretty easy to hurt them so keep at it. It won't take long. Another tactic here is to use the spiked bat's main attack to knock them down and then pummel them with it while they are down. After the fight you will get a cutscene and end Case You can pick up the twins katana swords and take them with you if you want.

They, like almost all boss weapons, will respawn every time you zone back into the Casino, provided you aren't already carrying them. I suggest taking them with you, as we can use them in the next scoop, Mail Order Zombrex. Make sure you have two Pain Killers as well before you leave. We'll use one soon and one later. Head back to the Royal Flush Plaza. Outside The Man's Sport, you'll see a mail cart that wasn't there before.

Examining it with will start the mission. You also should have a couple OJs and a Pain Killer for this fight. You should have two Pain Killers but only use one if you even need to do that. With that all prepped, save the game in the nearby restroom, then examine the cart and watch the cutscene. As with most boss fights, dodging and rolling works wonders. Dodge roll left and right and when you get close enough, spring at him and cut him down.

When Carl gets knocked back by the shotgun is another good time to get two or three swings in. Defeating Carl nets you a Zombrex so we should be sitting pretty good with our supply for now.

Save the game. It should be after am by now so if it is, head out to the Platinum strip for Hunger Pains. Otherwise wait until you get the call before zoning. Don't wait long though, because we got a lot to do before we can give Katey her Zombrex at am.

If you need to wait, you can always go grab more OJ or refresh your Knife Gloves. First, stop in Juggz Bar and Grill and grab a hamburger for Richard. Then go to Dining at Davey's and give him the burger so he will join you.

To the right of the Atlantica Casino entrance is a maintenance room. This being our first time actually in this casino, let's grab the combo card for Holy Arms. It is to your right after you enter from Fortune Park.

Examine the "Pit Viking" movie poster. This is the last poster collectible. Only need two more for an achievement but they require a specific mission for one and a lot of money for the other which both won't be done until the second playthrough. I'll point those out in due time. Now, run to the Poker Room here in the casino and kill the 3 survivors there. I know, it doesn't sound right but trust me. They need to die to free up room in the 8 survivor rule.

Saving them is just too much of a pain in the butt and takes way too much time, something we are quickly running out of. We need to get back to the safehouse by am to give Katey her Zombrex. Run to the grotto and go to the upper floor of it to find these three ladies. If you didn't get the Playboy magazine before or had to drop it to make room for something else, pick it up again here since it's a boost for females and you are picking three up right now.

You can always dump it after you return them to the safehouse. Now take the shortcut to get back to the Royal Flush Plaza and ultimately the Safehouse. Back at the safehouse, you should have made it in time to give Katey her Zombrex. You now have a full 12 hours before the next Case so let's head back out and get some survivors! At am we will get Chemical Dependency and we have until pm to get Jared another Zombrex.

We have the Zombrex but it's going to be tight timing to get back here in time. Don't dilly dally before then. Follow the walkthrough quickly and efficiently and we should make it in time. Make a save here on a different slot just in case. Head to the South Plaza by way of Americana Casino, so you can make a few Quicksteps to help with the upcoming time crunch.

Use one to run to the mission start and watch the cutscene. When the battle starts, Seymour will be standing next to a pillar. Run around the pillar and attack him from the back with your Knife Gloves. Duck back around the pillar before he can retaliate with gun fire. Keep doing this and he will die real fast. Seymour is super susceptible to melee attacks so the knife gloves are your best friend here.

Easiest path is to the hotel and then through the strip. Apprentice Rising Reach level At am, the strip is going to become a bad place to take survivors. Four Psychopaths spawn with sniper rifles and pick off survivors and you. We'll deal with them when the time comes but I figured it's best to warn you now.

Get to the Slot Ranch Casino using a Quickstep to do it. In here, save your game. You will need to protect Woodrow as he breaks into the ATMs. As he runs between the two areas, he runs up the moving walkway the wrong way. Just clear out the zombies around him. Using the spiked bat helps clear the masses while using unarmed attacks to kick them away or knife gloves or a gun to deal with the single ones. Whatever you do, just be careful not to hit Woodrow because it won't take much to make him turn against you if you do too much damage.

Once he joins, blend one Quickstep here in the Food Court. All these will be used soon. Save when you get inside. Also, strip down to your underwear. Weird I know, but it will save time later. Our next objective is going to be to take out the four snipers. We'll need knife gloves to take these guys out so prep up but do it quickly. As long as you have two Pain Killers there isn't much need for OJ, though I would take one if you have the room. The best bet is in the cafeteria. If there isn't an OJ, a Coffee Creamer will also do.

Use a Quickstep once you leave the safehouse. As long as it's after am, you will get a cutscene for these 4 rednecks. This should take about an in-game hour to kill them all off. You will want to use your Quicksteps to get from one sniper to the next and once you are up top and wounded, use your Pain Killers. Eat any food they have at their 'camps' to save on your inventory.

Just be careful about the beer as drinking too much will get you drunk and we really don't need that right now, you naked fool. While moving from location to location, run left and right to make it harder for them to hit you. Work your way towards Moe's Maginations and near it is the scaffolding which you should climb to get to the first redneck, Big Earl Flaherty.

Climb up and melee him with the Knife Gloves while dodging his machete with jumps. The next Psychopath is located on the Royal Flush Plaza rooftop. You can get to him by going to the maintenance room between the plaza and Slot Ranch Casino. In that alley is a ladder. Climb it to reach Johnny James and take him out the same way as the first one, Knife Gloves and dodging. The third redneck is Derrick Duggan. He's on the roof of the Atlantica Casino. To get to him, you need to access the pathway near Hot Excitorama see the in-game map.

When you get up top, hide behind the air conditioners to force Derrick to move closer. Like the previous two, enter melee and do short, quick attacks and dodge his counter attacks. The final hillbilly jackass we need to take out is Deetz Hartman, who is on top the theater. Climb the ladder and take him out the same way as the others.

Aren't the Knife Gloves amazing? The whole thing shouldn't have taken more than an hour or two. Killing hillbillies in your skivvies with Wolverines claws? Who said this game isn't fun? You also got an achievement! Judge, Jury and Executioner Defeat 10 psychopaths. With the strip now safe again well, safe as can be with 1,'s of zombies milling about let's go get some survivors.

Europa is in the hotel and too embarrassed to come out due to her, well, clothing deficiency. Lucky for you that you listened to me earlier and stripped down already as that's the only way she will join you.

Yay for saving time! She also mentions that she wants to be carried because the floor is cold on her feet but ignore her. She'll follow you regardless. By now you probably got the call about Jared, but we have until pm to get him his Zombrex. We need to hustle because we got one more pickup before we can go back to the safehouse.

If you don't think you are going to make it, might as well reload a previous save and try again. This is the only real tight schedule we have but trust me, it's worth it.

If you think you can take out the rednecks quicker the second time around, reload the save from the safehouse. Otherwise, you can try to brave the strip with them still alive. They stay out there until the end so sooner or later you will want to deal with them.

Book it to Palisades Mall via Hot Excitorama is probably the quickest! Make sure you save the game in the middle of Fortune Park on your way. Not only has it been awhile since you saved, you will be reloading this save shortly due to two different achievements we are going to juggle.

We saved this one for last because not only can we take the secret path back to Royal Flush Plaza but it is right after a save point and we can get two achievements in rapid succession. Hey, I'm looking out for ya you savvy gamer you! The painting is one of the last gifts we need for Katey and therefore is required for an achievement. You can only get this painting here, during this scoop. Use every type of novelty weapon on a zombie. Unfortunately, that damaged the painting and we need to give it to Katey in pristine condition.

Reload your last save, work your way back here and give Randolph the money again. The carnage is worth the extra effort!

Item Locations: Both items can be found in the maintenance room next to the Atlantica casino. Combo Card Location: The card is given to you when you get the rock band back to the safe house. The Queen is a bug you trap in a jar that can kill all the surrounding zombies. Please comment if this helped you at all. Tags: Dead Rising 2. Everything is awesome!
